Kids Say the Darndest Things...

Yesterday as we were sitting at the breakfast table eating pancakes, Alli and Blake had the most interesting conversation. I use a pizza cutter to slice up the kids' pancakes into bite size pieces and Alli always eats hers into shapes and letters. Well, yesterday morning she ate her's into an 'E' and said "Hey, there's an 'E' in my name!" and Blake said "There's not an 'E' in your name." Alli has to retaliate (of course) and spells out 'Anderson' for him (I could hear the metaphorical tongue stuck out, 'Nah - so there') Then Blake says something about an 'F' in Christmas. To which our sweet Alli Dawn says, "There's no 'F' in Christmas!" (Say it really fast). I immediately started laughing my hiney off, and Josh too could hardly compose himself. Alli laughed because she knew she has said something funny (obvious by Mom and Dad's reactions), but she didn't know what or even why. Blake wasn't ammused in the least. Logan, well he laughs if anyone laughs.
It really lifted my spirits yesterday - even though it was slightly inappropriate. Oh well... gotta find the funny if you want to laugh, right?!

I'm pretty sure that every person I've told this story to, I have to explain about "no effin Christmas". I still laugh out loud when I think about this! It's so funny you need to send it to Jimmy Kimmel!
