Child Labor

I'm sure that there's some sort of law against this. I'm just positive of the fact... I just can't seem to think of what it is exactly... hmmmm... I just can't seem to put my finger on it. Oh well! Ah... The Child Labor Law. But does that still apply if the child ASKS to do it? Alli loves to "help" me around the house, and even better than the help... I don't have to pay her! WAHOO! ;)

Really though, Alli is such a big helper. Tonight she wanted to help me with the dishes. This is how she went about asking:

"Mommy. Guess what?"
"What's that Al?"
"I love to wash the dishes. It's my favorite!"
"Really? Is that so?"
"Yes. It really is. I have my apron on. I'm such a good helper."

She cracks me up. So, after that I just had to let her "help" me with the dishes. I let her rinse the dishes before they went into the dishwasher, and then I let her sort the eating utensils into their little holder-thingy in the dishwasher. And, you know what!? She really was "such a good helper!"

Hopefully she'll keep it up as she gets older. Somehow I doubt it though. Once she gets a life of her own. Take advantage while you can.

Haahaa! This makes me laugh! Ty loves to help me as well, but he gets kind of distracted....suddenly my dishwasher racks are completely off their tracks and my kid begins to laugh. Why you may ask? Oh, that's because he thinks the little wheels on the racks look like train wheels and of course being a boy, he thinks that the train needs to CRASH!!! He thinks it's really funny, but I on the other, standing over him with dripping wet pot and a dirty fork try to give him my "I'm going to pull out my hair" stare. As the charming boy that he is, he's always able to put his "train" back on the tracks. I just wish the cute little man would let me do the dishes by myself sometimes....I'd get them done ALOT faster. Hahaha! Good thing I love the little monster so much! I'm a little jealous....I wish my little helper was as good as yours. Do you mind lending her out to good friends in need? Hee Hee!
