Feelin' sorry for myself...

I don't want pity... I just need to know how YOU get over it. Tell me what you do to make yourself feel better about yourself (without spending any dough)! I hate feelin' like this, and nothing's working for me.

Hmmmm.....let me think. I'm in the same boat, girl! It's this yucky weather that we get right before spring that makes me feel all mopey and depressed. I can't get motivated to do anything and I start to feel super sluggish. I too, am in a pickle with finances, so this is what I've been doing lately.....
Draw yourself a wonderful bath with lit candles (that smell yummy) and start reading a really good book. Make sure that Dad has the kids and that no one is aloud to disturb you for one full hour. I don't want kids knocking on my door or screaming in the background. So, if you have to drown out some kiddy noise, turn on some very light music, like Enya or something. Just the one hour to myself, and getting lost in a really good book, seems to help me feel better about myself because I can escape from reality for a little bit and just relax. The more you do this the better you'll feel, trust me. The first night you do this, you won't feel rejuvenated, but if you do this on a regular basis....let's say twice a week, you'll start looking forward to your book reading and nice hot relaxing bathes. I think that's what makes us better mommy's too. If we can have a little time to ourselves, things just seem to fall into place and you do better at everything! Good Luck! Hope that helped or at least gave you an idea?!

Like you learned in Primary, you can start by counting your blessings. Look at those beautiful kids you have, a husband that is working to make things better in this crazy world, check out either of your blogs and what a great job you've done with them. How about the fun changes you're going to be making on your cute house, (not apartment), go back and look at the wonderful pictures you've taken for free for families that don't have the beautiful children you have to hold, love and drive you crazy, but now have some very special memories that will last forever, thanks to you. Look around your house and see the wonderful and creative things you've done. How 'bout the fact that you have a great talent to creat wonderful meals for your family. I know several women nearing their 50s that can't do that. Your talent for putting outfits together and hairstyles are amazing. The things you have taught your kids, the little brainsters. Hmmmmm, maybe you're right, you don't have anything to feel good about, you sorry chump, can't help ya there;-)
